Chris Decuir

Certified CrossFit Level 1 Trainer

I grew up in Baton Rouge, LA.  I attended Catholic High School.  At Catholic, I participated in both football and track and field all four years.  After high school, I attended and graduated from LSU in 1996 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.  One of the greatest things about my time at LSU was meeting my wife, Bess Garrett.  We married in ’96 and a couple of years later moved to Ruston.

After moving to Ruston, Bess and I had three sons: Garrett, Jack Henry, and Carter.  When I am not with this crew or at Catahoula CrossFit, I am working.  I work for Primoris Energy Services (Formerly James Construction).  I am the Operations Manager for our Continuous Presence / Maintenance Division.

I began CrossFit in May of 2013 not really knowing what I was getting myself into.  I had heard so much about it and thought that it may be something that I would like.  I had no idea that it would become such a big part of my life.  I love what it has done for me, and all that it has taught me.

Favorite CrossFit Workouts: Involve moving heavy weights (relative of course).  This is such a great feeling.

Least Favorite CrossFit Workouts: Those that include Double Unders (Double Unders were invented by the devil!)
